I was up early this morning to work out. Yes, I am doing another round of bootcamp. Call me crazy! This morning the gym was bare and the traffic on the way home was great. As I sit here this morning I wanted to take a few minutes to really think about the holiday season before we get so busy that we forget what Christmas is all about. This year with kids getting to the age where they understand a little, I have really been trying to teach them about Christ coming to the earth as a little baby.

On Sunday, Brooklyn got to attend a birthday party for Jesus at church. She was really excited about that. She asked me if we could make Jesus a cake. I thought that would be a great idea. She then asked if we could leave it out for when he comes. Obviously she was confusing Jesus with Santa coming. I got a kick out of that because of her innocence. I told her that if Jesus comes, we wouldn't be here to see it! It is so fun to hear the things they learn and see. And if only a little this year, I would like them to learn the true meaning of Christmas. Merry Christmas to all of you.
