March 01, 2006:
What can be better than a day of shopping at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, California. This week Brooklyn and I came out to California to stay with David's aunt, Fran, in her beach home on Newport Beach. We also met up with my great friend from college, Megan, and her daughter Mandy. The trip out here was a little rough. It is never easy traveling with a 20 month old baby. But once we got here, it was smooth sailing. We wake up each morning to the sites and sounds of the ocean. In the past couple of days we have shopped, taken a tour of the bay, went to Balboa Island, and of course shopped some more. We are thinking about making this a yearly trip but maybe next year the husbands will keep the girls! Here are a couple of pictures of the girls on the beach.

February 25, 2006:
Today we had a great wedding shoot with Stacy and Rick. Stacy is another one of our Kenneth girls! They actually booked us for their wedding about 2 years ago and the day finally arrived! It took some convincing but we did a photo shoot with the bride and groom prior to the wedding. The weather was a little cold and the wind was crazy. Therefore, we did a really fun shoot in the display window at La Jeune Mariee (http://www.lajeunemariee.com). A special thanks goes out to them for letting us take over the shop for the shoot. Stacy and Rick were so much fun, and their pictures show it! Great personalities make for great photos! On our way to the reception we made a quick stop in an old lumberyard for some night shots. We just get so tired of shooting in the same locations so we brainstormed about some new ones. We always try to tell our couples to try something new, and they did! February 22, 2006:
Here's what we do when we have a day off, paint our new nursery. A special thanks goes out to our very talented friend Sue. She painted the room freehand. (I really wish I could paint like that!) The bedding is Aloha Pink Island from Pottery Barn. It was sold out but I had to have it so I went on a search on Ebay. I am so glad I did. The room turned out just like I wanted it to! It is a babies' tropical paradise. It is obviously still unfinished. We are missing furniture and other accessories. We will post more when it is complete.

February 18, 2006:
Everyone has been asking when we are going to show off our little girl, Brooklyn, so today is the day. Below is a picture from Christmas time. She is quite the character. Brooklyn is now 20 months old. We can't believe it is going so fast! What a little blessing she has been to us.

Today we hit a milestone. Our very first blog! So this is the place that we get to tell you all of the exciting things happening in our business and in our lives. And what a day to start, Valentines Day, the day of love or should we say the day of "redneck weddings"! This morning Dave, Kate, John and I were up at the crack of dawn preparing ourselves to shoot WCOL's live weddings at White Castle on Kenney Road with Woody and the Wake Up Call. What a riot! Four couples tied the knot and we had the enjoyment of shooting all of the festivities. From Twinkie wedding cakes to sliders and soda, everything was perfect. Check out some images from this event.
