This past weekend we had the privilege of shooting Senator Steve Stivers and his beautiful wife Karen. They are two of the nicest people that you will ever meet! The ceremony was held at the Ohio Historical Society and the reception at Confluence Park. In perfect senator fashion, the couple met at The Statehouse to do pictures before the ceremony. How appropriate! Wrapped in her cute fur, Karen and Steve, then headed outside at the historical village to snap some more. It was cold, but they did it in style. After the ceremony we headed to Confluence Park, snapped some night shots with the city in the background and then headed inside to warm up by the fireplace. What a fun time! Check out some of their images.

This Thanksgiving Dave and I decided it would be fun to start the day off with a 4 mile race, The Flying Feather at the Corazon Club. We figured we might as well burn off some calories before consuming thousands more. I was secretly hoping it would rain so that I could have an excuse to stay home but it didn't start until we got to the starting line. Gina, my fellow bootcamper, and I were ready to go. Luckily we didn't get trampled out of the gate by the other 2400 runners. Dave was obviously gone by the time we even got to the first turn. The first mile was by far the worst. It was mostly uphill, the rain was coming down, and my face was so cold that I couldn't move my mouth. I thought to myself, "Why did I sign up for this?" After the first two miles we headed into the woods and it warmed up a lot. The third mile was by far the easiest. At the finish I spotted the photographer and shot him a quick smile so that I would look great in my race picture (always got to be conscience of the camera)! I finished the race in 36 minutes according to my clock. Now that it's over, I think I would probably do it again. Fun times!
