I have a few words to say about the wedding this past weekend, "IT WAS OFF THE HOOK!!!" I haven't said that about another wedding but this wedding deserves it! It was so untraditional and amazing. I loved it! The wedding was a night club theme at the Promo West Pavilion in downtown Columbus. The colors were amazing; chocolate brown, bright turquoise blue, and red velvet. Michael Bova from ZenGenius was the mastermind behind the project. Everything was very smooth from the VIP tent with white couches to the logo on the dance floor to the sushi bar and on and on. It was nothing but a great party! Jaime and Josh (the bride and groom) were absolutely amazing! So relaxed and easy going!

We started the day off with a photo shoot downtown and then headed to Promo West to shoot pictures inside and out there. Their images are just so different and fun. We shot pictures backstage and onstage with the stage lights. Next came the ceremony with about 80 guests. It was in the pit by the stage. The backdrop was an amazing blue fabric. It made for some great trendy images. After the ceremony in came the mass and filled the lower level of the pavilion. Everyone was ready to party. The party kicked off with Controversy and then ended with a DJ. It was a non stop party. I have never seen a wedding be that relaxed and natural. Thanks to Jaime and Josh for a great time!
Have you ever done something really spontaneous? For the longest time Dave and I have been trying to plan a get away for this spring. We have looked online for countless hours trying to decide what to do. We would decide on one thing and then hear bad reports on the location. I was getting so frustrated. Then this past week we had friends, Marcy and John, over for dinner. I was telling Marcy about my frustrations and she said that they were going to Maui and thought it would be fun if we would go too. I asked her when they were leaving and she said next Sunday!!!! Yikes!! Could we possibly do it? The next day we started looking at flights and hotels and by Wednesday we had booked everything. Is that crazy? Booking at trip to Maui a week and a half before we leave. So this week we are busy getting everything ready to go. The kids are staying home of course with Yaya and Papa, and Aunt Sara and Uncle Kris. They will have their hands full! They will be changing diapers while we relax on the beach in Maui. If you have a hard time reaching us next week please understand that we will get back to you soon but not from the beach!!!!!
