This past weekend Dave and I had the privilege of working with Jenn and James. We had been looking forward to their wedding for awhile. At their first appointment, Jenn told us that they were planning a 40's themed wedding: big band, an old Rolls Royce, vintage jewelry, and all. I love themed weddings. Jamie from Devoted to Details did a great job pulling everything together. These guys were so much fun to shoot too. We hardly had to give any direction. They just did what they do best, have fun! And the wedding party was very cool too. Don't you love the girls' orange dresses. I love lots of color in photos. Here is a sneak peak of some of their images. Enjoy!

Today Dave and I are celebrating our 10 year anniversary! I can't believe it has already been 10 years. Every time I say it I feel like it makes me sound really old. Tonight we are going out to dinner to celebrate and then this winter we are going on a cruise. Since Isaac is only 8 weeks old we decided to wait until the winter to take the big trip. The other day we were talking about what we had done in our first 10 years of marriage. It was quite interesting. We have lived in 10 different apartments or houses, had 6 cars, shot over 400 weddings, had 2 kids, went on lots of vacations, been out of the country twice, and are still madly in love! We are praying that the next 10 years will be even better for us!

Just to entertain you, let me tell you how we met. It was the first day of my junior year of college and Dave was starting his Master's degree. I saw him from across the room and I told my friend that I thought I was going to marry that guy. About an hour later I met Dave in the library. He was listening to me talk to someone else and then just happened to stroll by to strike up a conversation. We talked in the library for about an hour. Later that day I was went out to the tennis courts to meet a friend. I sat down next to an older gentleman and starting talking with him. Come to find out, it was Dave's dad. Dave came over and his dad said, "Dave you need to meet this girl." Needless to say, we had already met. Our first "date" was at Taco Bell. I interviewed him for the college newspaper. From there we were off and running. We talked about getting married 2 weeks after we met! We met in September, were engaged in November and married in July. What a whirlwind! And here we are 10 years later. We thank God every day for blessing us with each other. We make a perfect team in life and in business.

I am getting a little behind on writing about our weekend weddings. I promise to get caught up after the 4th. Things have been a little crazy around here. Our house is hopping. On Friday we had a wedding at Wedgewood Country Club. That might my sister, her husband and four kids arrived in town. On Saturday we had a wedding at the Athaneum. All the while, Brooklyn is at home sick. She caught a virus somehow and has had a fever for three days. On Saturday night I got up with her a couple of times. She was miserable. I left Dave at home with Brooklyn and headed off to church on Sunday with Isaac. We had lunch out at the Winking Lizard. I love that place! When I returned home, Brooklyn had a temperature of 103! I took her to urgent care and they said it must be a virus and to wait it out. I hate that! I want her to feel better quickly. Sunday night we had dinner at the house with my sister's family. We put the youngest one's to bed and then headed back to Wedgewood for their fireworks. As soon as we arrived it began pouring rain and they cancelled the show. Just our luck. So here we are, it is now Monday and we still need to see some fireworks. We are going to attempt to go to Red, White and Boom. Call us insane! We are getting desperate! Tomorrow we are having a big cookout at our place! I think we will need to take the rest of the week off to recover from the insanity.
