A couple of weeks ago, Dave and I had the privilege to travel to Steubenville, Ohio to shoot the wedding of Carol and Evan. All week we were dreading the weekend and not because of the bride and groom ( We love them!) but because #1 the weather forecast was showing 100% chance of rain and #2 We were going somewhere where we didn't know any photo locations. Upon arrival, everything looked ok. We shot the girls and guys before the wedding without a hitch. We thought we had caught a break but during the ceremony the rains came down. They canceled the dove release because of the doves not returning during a storm. Cautiously I approached Carol and Evan and said "What do you want to do?" And to my surprise they said, "We only get married once. Let's do whatever it takes! Let's get out in the rain!" So we rolled with it. Now they didn't mean "Let's do a couple of umbrella shots". They meant "take that umbrella down and get wet!" So here we are in Steubenville, Ohio in the rain creating amazing photos for Carol and Evan. We hit location after location and got some great shots. The moral of the story is don't ever let the weather ruin your day but also do whatever it takes for great pix! In the end, no one cared that her dress was a little wet and dirty or that Evan's cream colored tux was covered in mud. I think most guests were slightly entertained by what we did. The party went on and their photos are great!!! Check out some of their images below. We literally shot these in the pouring rain!!!!!!

I am going to go on a blogging spree tonight. I have so much to say and have been so busy that I haven't had time to say anything. First I want to say, can you believe our little guy, Isaac, is already 6 months old??? Here are some new pix!!! I think he is totally adorable. He is starting to sit up and of course is rolling all over the place. They grow up so fast.

Do you ever have those moments when you just wonder what people are thinking? Well, today I had one of those. About 5 weeks ago our treadmill broke down. We called the repair man, told him the problem, and without coming out he diagnosed the problem over the phone. He ordered the part and we waited and waited. Finally the part came in on Saturday. We called the repair man and he came out this evening to fix it. When he arrived, he looked at the treadmill and the problem was not what he thought. Now understand we waited 5 weeks for the part to come in and it is the wrong part!!! What????? Why not come out and diagnose the problem before ordering the wrong part? So here I am trying to lose the rest of my baby weight and I have no treadmill for another couple of weeks. So frustrating!

So I am starting to get really excited for our next family portrait day, this coming Saturday, November 11th. At first the weather was not looking good, but at last check it was showing 66 and partly sunny. If that holds true, HALLELUJAH!!! Here is a peak at some of the images from the last two sessions. By tomorrow all pix will be up and ready to view at www.pictage.com. My favorite picture was of the Garrett family. Little Davis didn't want to join the picture with his parents, so I thought it would be cute to get him trying to stay away while his parents enjoyed a little kiss. Check it out!
