After getting home after midnight on Saturday, Sunday morning came early. Isaac was up at 5:00am. Yikes! He always seems to get up really early after he is at Yaya and Papa's house. Hummmm, could that be because they hold him and let him sleep all day? We went to church on Sunday morning and then came home to grab so lunch before leaving for wedding #2. After dropping off the kids, we headed up to Muirfield. Katherine and Michael lucked out and had amazing weather, not too hot but not too cold. Katherine looked amazing! I asked her if she had ever done any modeling and she found my question to be amusing. She could have been a model! After shooting the girls, we met up with the guys. Michael was a bit apprehensive at first. I think he was expecting a traditional photographer. After the first couple of minutes, he saw otherwise and photos started rolling. I think their ceremony has to go down in the book as the shortest ceremony that we have ever shot. 10 minutes, including the processional and recessional. After the ceremony we wrapped up family pix and the wedding party pix and then headed out to the course on golf carts. Our last stop was the pod!!!!

Let me tell you about the pod! In the parking lot there was a bright red storage pod. As soon as Dave and I saw it, we knew we had to shoot in front of it. I think everyone thought we were crazy until they saw the images! The red was so vibrant and fun. It really matched their personalities. Check out the images below from in front of the pod!

Finally we headed over the reception. It looked amazing and the food was also amazing. I expected the food to be great because Michael is the owner of LaScala and Luci. Luci is the new restaurant up in Powell off of Sawmill. If you haven't been there, you need to check it out. The food is great! Back to the reception, they had every kind of appetizer you can imagine. My favorite part was the dessert buffet. They had everything from Italian dessert lasagna, to creme brulee, to ice cream, to tarts and more. Yummmmy!!!!

Katherine and Michael, thanks for such a great day!

Holiday weekend are always very busy for us. Sundays are always popular on Labor Day weekend because of the holiday on Monday. On Saturday we were off to shoot again at Brookside Country Club. On the way to the wedding I was feeling a little blah. It was raining outside and I was so disappointed because the ceremony and cocktail hour were suppose to be outside. Karie and Aaron were very calm and collected with the rain. They moved the ceremony and cocktail hour inside. We were able to shoot the guys outside before the ceremony and did a small portion with the girls outside. After the ceremony, things looked up! The sun came out and it was beautiful outside. We were able to shoot everything we wanted. The reception was great! I didn't expect anything less. Both Karie and Aaron are in the hospitality industry. Aaron is a manager at the Waldorf Astoria in NYC. I have never been there but I hear is it beautiful. Dinner was amazing and they danced the night away to the music of Big Daddy Blue. Thanks for a great time!
Battery drama part three. Today the batteries did not arrive so I decided to track the package again. The tracking said package successfully delivered on one line and then on the next line it said "item returned to sender because of insufficient address". What????? Are you kidding me? I will be on the phone tomorrow with the Canadian postal system to see what's up. We have two wedding again this weekend. I do not have the time to deal with this!
