Last Thursday my sister, Sara, and I got inspired to start our Christmas baking. I just love baking! Our first project was monster cookies. Monster cookies are huge, about the size of a saucer, and include everything that tastes great: oatmeal, peanut butter, m&m's, chocolate chips, etc. We got a great recipe off www.allrecipes.com. That is my all time favorite recipe site. The woman who posted the recipe has 12 kids and uses this recipe for her family. Needless to say it made a HUGE batch. We had to mix the cookies in dish tub. I think in the end it made 120 saucer sized monster cookies. If you want the recipe, let me know.

Fed ex, almost disaster. The past Saturday Dave was outside on the roof putting up Christmas lights when the Fed Ex delivery truck came up the drive. From the roof, Dave told the driver to put the package on the truck in the garage. Well, Dave finished up the project and then we got ready to leave for my sister's house. The next morning on the way to church I asked Dave what he did with the package on the truck. He said he didn't do anything with it and I knew that I hadn't. Dave had driven off the night before with the package on the car!!!! Yikes!!! Now to find out what was in the package. If it was an album, we were out a lot of money. At first I thought it was some Christmas cards that had been shipped. I was actually pretty sure of it until they came in the mail today. Now I was getting worried. I was thinking it was an album. So I called the album company and they did not ship anything yet!! Relief. After a long string of calls I found out that it was the least expensive thing that we had ordered recently. What a blessing! I can't imagine someone's beautiful album laying on the highway being run over by semis!!!! So if you see a package on the road between 33/161 and Cemetery Road, it might be ours. What a crazy situation.
