I got up early this morning and thought that today would be a great day for a photo shoot with Brooklyn. She always looks so cute in the morning when she wakes up. Her hair is all over the place and her pajamas are the cutest. So once I heard her stirring, I went up to the room with the camera. Her are some images from her shoot. Of course I think she is adorable!

I had been looking forward to our wedding this past weekend for a long time. Becky, the bride, is the sister to one of our favorite past clients, Anne. We have also had the opportunity to shoot Becky and Anne's family since Anne's wedding. So I was counting down the days and religiously watching the weather: rain, no rain, rain, no rain. It kept going back and forth. Becky got prepared for rain and bought really cute lime green umbrellas. I was really hoping to not use them. Saturday arrived and it rained all morning, but stopped just at the right time. We were able to shoot all the photos except some at the golf course. After shooting the ceremony and photos downtown we headed up towards Dublin and watched the terrible storm roll in. The clouds were awesome!! Right after we arrived, the rain stopped again and we grabbed some awesome sunset pix! It is always so much fun shooting people that you feel like you know already. The whole wedding party was great. Dave and I counted and at the wedding were 5 brides that we had already shot. I guess once again that is the power of a referral business.

The decorations at the reception were so cute, which I knew they would be. In true fall fashion, there were wheat centerpieces, green apples, and an awesome fall candy buffet. I think that was favorite part even though I am suppose to be dieting! Check out more images from their wedding.

Dave and I are always talking about the power of referrals and building relationships with our clients. It is always fun to find out how others hear about us. Word seems to spread from one person to the next in different ways. Just recently we received an email from a friend from church. Here is what she had to say:

I was talking to one of the girls I work with today and she was telling me that she saw some of her client's wedding pictures that you and David took. She was commenting on how WONDERFUL you guys are at what you do:) What a gift you have been blessed with:) How special that you can touch so many people's lives through your works:) Just thought I would pass on the compliment:)

Have you ever had one of those days that when you wake up you expect your day to go a certain way and then it takes off in the opposite direction? That was my day today. I woke up and started making Brooklyn breakfast. I picked her up to put her in the chair and all of a sudden I had a sharp pain in my back. I set her on the counter because I could not put her down. I called for Dave and then made my way to the couch. My back hurt so bad that I could not move! Dave called the chiropractor and got me right in. The next step was to get dressed. I couldn't even do that! I did finally manage and made my way to the doctor. I did get everything worked out but I am really sore. I am so glad that didn't happen on the day of a wedding!

Because of the overwhelming response to our family portrait special, we are opening up some new dates and times. Please feel free to pass this information on to your friends and family. Remember the sessions are free! Here are the new dates and times:

Monday afternoon/evening, October 16 from 3-6pm (Jacquemin Farms in Dublin/Plain City)
Sunday morning, October 29th from 9-12 (North Bank Park, downtown Columbus)
Saturday afternoon, November 11th from 12-4 (undetermined location)

In addition to these dates we are also scheduling private in home sessions for the holidays. Since the holidays fall on Sunday & Monday this year, lots of families are getting together over the weekend. We will be doing in home sessions for $150 on Saturday December 23rd and Saturday December 30th. The sessions will be 45 minutes and include the session fee and online viewing. This is also a perfect gift idea! Sessions are very limited so please schedule a.s.a.p!

Just can't believe I am already talking about the holidays!
