Today I had the privilege to shoot Carmela and Leanna from Girls in White Dresses. They both said they hated to get their pictures taken, but of course both looked fabulous. We did a few shots outside the shop and then did some action shots inside. Here is a sneak peak at some of their images. And if you don't have your dress yet, you have to check out the shop!

I love the days when I can just shoot whatever I want. I don't have to worry about time constraints, getting the dress dirty, or anything else. That's why I love our "Trash the Dress" session. This is a session where we go out after the wedding and do all the shots that we would have liked to do the day of the wedding but just can't. On Friday we not only shot one session in the morning but another one at night.

We were up early Friday morning and off to shoot Lourdes. Lourdes got married last May in downtown Columbus. We wanted to do her shoot somewhere that was a stark contract to her wedding so we chose the country. We started the session in downtown Plain City and then headed out to the fields. Because it was early, the ground was still wet. We definitely trashed the dress! After the fields we headed to the railroad tracks. That added dirt into the picture. Check out some of the images below.

That evening we were off and rolling to trash another dress. Gino and Carrie were going to both be involved in this session. On the day of their wedding we were going to jump in the pool after the wedding but everything lasted later than we thought and it was too dark. So on Friday evening we got our chance. After a couple of "dry" runs, they took the plunge. Check it out!

It's time for an update on the kids. Isaac is growing up so fast! He started wearing 6-12 month clothes this week. And while we were gone at the wedding on Saturday, he rolled over for the first time. We missed it! He also started eating baby food last week. I am so happy because now he is going 4 hours between feedings instead of 3.

Brooklyn is our little busy body. Her favorite things to do are: coloring, playing outside, playing in the water, and watching Elmo. She is still a little peanut. Isaac is going to catch her soon!
Today is catch up day. This past weekend we shot a beautiful weddings at the bride's parent's home in Upper Arlington. They did an amazing job getting the back yard ready for 300 guests. Yes, I said 300 guests. The ceremony was held on one side of the yard in the garden with a fountain and then the reception was in a tent on the other side. Beautiful paved walkways lined the yard and at night hundreds of candles lit everything! Amazing work!

Amber, the bride and Adam, the groom we so much fun. Talk about a laid back couple. They were very low maintenance and therefore we had a great time! After the ceremony we made a trip around the house shooting in all the beautiful spots. Amber's dress was very cool. She purchased it in California where they reside. The bridesmaids dress were once again from my favorite, Girls in White Dresses. (Just a sidebar, Dave and I are going to be working on a project with Carmela, owner of the shop. This week we are going to be doing a photo shoot with her for the website. We will post pictures.)

The reception rolled and of course it was an amazing party. It could not have been anything less with entertainment by Conspiracy, my very favorite band. If you are looking for a great band definitely call them. Rodney is such an entertainer!

Great event! Thank you to everyone involved! Check out some images from Amber and Adam's wedding.
