Just got back from a morning of shooting engagement pictures downtown. We were a little worried about shooting today because of the expected rain. The weather pulled through for us. Our first shoot was with Jen & Phil. What a great couple! So easy going and fun to work with. The second was with Sam & Jason. Sam & Jason brought their dog who was quite the character. He definitely wanted to be involved in all the photos! After shooting the dog at Goodale park, we made our way around the Short North. It is always something fun and exciting down there. We even found some new backgrounds to shoot around! Check out more of Sam and Jason's pix.

After 2.5 years of living here, they have finally started work on our yard. When we originally bought the house, the previous owner was suppose to finish the yard before we moved in. He obviously didn't complete the job and we then became involved in a law suite over the completion. All that has finally ended and now we get a yard!! No more mud, no more rocks, no more having Brooklyn only play on the deck. They are scheduled to finish the front lawn today before the rain tomorrow. The back yard will have to wait until it dries again. After that, the next step is to get a swing set.

It's Monday morning and we survived another weekend! This past Saturday we had the privilege of working with Heather and Steven. What a fun couple! We were a little worried about the weather but everything worked out great. Dave and I met Heather and Steve along with their wedding party at the church and then loaded the bus for a downtown photo shoot. It works out so great when couples will see each other prior to the event for photos. I think the couples are more relaxed and obviously don't feel rushed after the wedding. The wind was a little crazy downtown but it made for fun pictures. Whenever the veil blew, Heather had great facial expressions. After our last stop we were almost ready to load the bus when Dave and I saw a spot that we had never shot at, the patio area at Typhoon. We ran inside and the owner gave us permission to shoot out there. The lines and textures made for some great shots. Finally we headed back to the church for family photos. The sanctuary at Broad Street Pres. church was amazing and so was their new addition. We finished up the evening at The Columbus Athaneum. They danced the night away with music from The Street Players, one of my favorite bands. Thanks Heather and Steve for a great time!! Check out more of their photos.
