Kansas here we come!

Tomorrow morning Brooklyn and I are hitting the road to go see my brother, Joel, sister in law, Kendall and Ollie and Lily. It's girls weekend away! Brooklyn can't wait to get on the plane. We are so excited to see baby Lily, she was born in January. Dave and Isaac are staying home for a boys weekend, working at the lake house. Painting madness

Well, we finally made it to the painting stage at the lake house. We thought it would happen a few weeks ago but plans got held up. Yesterday we headed up to the lake house for full day of painting. We left at 7:30am and got home at 7:30pm. I am so sore today that I can hardly move. The house is only about 15oo square feet but all but one room has vaulted ceilings! That means climbing up big, big ladders. Our painting crew consisted of my mom, Amy, brother and sister is law, Cindy, Dave and my father in law. We could not have done it without them! Thanks everyone for your hard work and thanks to Rachel and Jared for the pizza to keep us going!

Next step at the lake house: touch up paint, paint trim and hang trim and doors. Big projects!
