A tribute to Ashlea. After 4 amazing years, our assistant Ashlea will be moving into a freelance position with Banks Photography. We are very sad to not have her with us every weekend but are definitely excited for the other things she will be doing for us. Ashlea started with us in October 4 years ago. With little photography experience, we have seen her grow and change as a photographer and it has been amazing. She is such a hard worker and knows exactly what we want before we ask. She did everything from amazing taking pictures, to holding umbrellas in the rain, to grabbing us cherry cokes, to bustling brides dresses, to sewing up dresses, to being chauffer, to checking our teeth for broccoli, to sorting pix, to data entry, and finally back to the beginning of taking great photos. Her shoes will definitely be hard to fill.
Thanks Ashlea for all your hard work and great photos! Can’t wait to work together in the near future!

Last night we celebrated my father in law's 70th birthday. By the way he acts, you would think he is much younger! We were contemplating having a big bash but settled on a small intimate affair. We had a dinner party at Bon Vie at Easton. The food was amazing! After dinner we started asking questions that went like this "How many . . . . . . . in 70 years?" We asked about cars, houses, churches, and lots of other things. It was very entertaining. Dave and I on our 10 year anniversary went through similar questions and it proved to be just as interesting. It was things that we just don't think about on a normal basis. But anyways, happy birthday to Papa Banks!

On Friday evening we also celebrated another birthday with our friend Jeff. He is the one we talk about but never show in photos. He tends to always do things in photos that aren't worth showing. Sorry Jeff! So on Friday night we got a babysitter and headed out to The Elevator downtown. Love that place too! Happy birthday Jeff!
